The Cayman Islands is a dream scuba diving destination. As for all popular scuba hot spots, there’s plenty of choice when it comes to choosing your dive center and we’ve had plenty of reviews from divers who have dived there and experienced everything the Caymans have to offer. So, here are some reviews for our top dive centers in the Cayman Islands, as voted for by the Scubadviser community:

Indigo Divers

“Chris and Katie provided us with an exceptionally great experience. They take 6 divers maximum and have 2 divemasters in the water – so the dive is relaxed and unhurried, and the safety is great. On one day, I was the only customer, so we just spent the day shooting UW photos – you couldn’t ask for anything better!

They are very photographer friendly, searching for little critters if you like macro and suggesting great angles if you are shooting wide angle. Entry into the water is easy – just sit on the stern platform while they slip your BC on and then roll in.

Their dive boat is very posh – more like a luxury cruiser – and they have cookies, juice and fruit for the breaks – terrific service! They picked us up from our hotel (on Seven Mile Beach) every day, and were always on time. The personal attention, obvious pride in their work, keen interest in the customer, and top notch equipment really makes Indigo Divers stand out from the crowd of Cayman operators – we’ll be diving with them again on our next trip down!”

Cayman Marine Lab

“WOW – Tom is really geared towards TAKING you diving – no fluff but boy does he get you to the most amazing dive spots on North Wall. Last weekend did 4 dives with Tom and 2 of them anchor drops where there is very little diving – WOW – 2 eagle rays swam right by us and we got to see a neck crab, a very impressive nurse shark along with a cool scorpion fish, spotted moray eel and Candice had an arrow crab and spaghetti worm dance on her hands … Tom’s boats are safe and his sense of humour makes the trip fun. Being a marine biologist he imparts awesome information and taught us about the stinging sin spines found not only on the dorsal area of the Lion fish built also on the very extremities of the caudal fins – interesting. We were on the boat with 5 other divers and it was comfortable. Entry is a backward roll and Tom is with you the entire dive and taking your gear off before you climb back on the boat. Nice touch cannot wait for this weekend as we will be going out again.”

Living the Dream Divers

“For diving, you cannot beat Living the Dream Divers. We went on several boat dives and were impressed with the fun atmosphere that didn’t compromise absolute attention to every detail of safety before we entered the water. The dive sites were spectacular and they are selected depending on the direction of the wind and the condition of the ocean. The goal is to give you a great diving experience and they deliver. Dives are led by a dive master who points out all the interesting stuff it could be easy to miss.

Dives are sort of boutique-style in that no more than 8 divers are ever on any boat dive. This provides lots of room to change into your gear, change out equipment, and have a really small group experience. The boat is spacious and well appointed–water and snacks are available at no additional charge between dives. AND they include a dive computer at no cost for divers who don’t have one and are happy to show you how to use it.”
